Get to Know Nichole:

What is your favorite part of working in a law firm?
Assisting individuals in their time of need and being their support person when they call in. Being able to be the person they rely on to vent to make them feel better about their current situation.

What drew you to the legal profession?
Family members in the legal field provided a glimpse of the type of work that was being done. Once beginning working in the field, I found that it satisfied my need to not only help our clients but the domino effect that it had with everyone in their life as well. When you help that one person, it helps everyone that is close with them in their life, which is great.

Is there a specific story, anecdote or person that influenced you to work in the legal profession?
My mom is a family law attorney. She insisted that I work with her at her practice. I am glad she did! 😊

What aspects of your job do you most value?
Helping our clients and my co-workers.

Outside of the office, what are you passionate about/involved in?
Spending time with family and friends. During the holiday season, my mother and I participate in the “Pajama Program.” The Pajama Program collects pajamas and books for children that live in shelters and foster homes.

What are your favorite sports teams?
SF Giants!

What are your favorite places to grab a meal in your community?
La Texanita, Louie’s Diner.

Are you married? Do you have children? Grandchildren?
Married and expecting my first child!

  • Book: To Kill a Mockingbird, Secret Life of Henrietta Lacks, Choke, The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao
  • TV show: Friends, Arrested Development
  • Movie: Any Blumhouse Production movies, Pulp Fiction, Mulan

Is there anything else that people should know about you?

I am an overly compassionate person. I tend to put myself quite literally in other people’s shoes. I come from a work background of helping those in need, generally children. I have worked with children with Autism, as well as in group homes with troubled youth. I think that experience has benefited me in the current position that I am in.
